I had already seen colleagues using it, but I never tried it out myself. When my little brother asked me to explain LinkedIn to him and help him out with his profile, it was an ideal opportunity to test ‘join.me‘.
It’s pretty simple. Somebody can follow and see your screen. It’s an ideal way of explaining something you do on your computer. You can also use it to ask for help and enable the guest to take over your mouse to show you something.
So first, through join.me, I showed my brother my profile, what I do within LinkedIn and what I use it for. Than I took over his screen, got access to his mouse control and showed him, on his computer how he should build his profile and how he can use the social network.
Sure that a lot of you reading this could use this tool!
