First Time on Mint!

Created first Mint account today. It’s an app/website to track your expenses. And it works surprisingly well. It’s pretty straightforward in what it does. You link your credit and debit cards to the app and gives you an overview how your expenses are composed. Your expenses are categorized and many of your expenses are ‘pre-categorized’ meaning that the app recognizes that your payment to ‘Safeway’ was for groceries and your payment in ‘T-Mobile’ was for telecommunication. If the expense is not categorized, you can simply give it a category and it will save it for next time.

Since I just started using it I don’t have that much date yet, but this is an example how it can look after a while:

Must say, pretty confronting the first time you use it. You’d be surprised how much you spend on some categories (like going out).

Good way to track, control and follow up all your payments, especially when budgeting is needed!
